Bang Tao’s Run for the Reef adds beach cleanup to its 3K morning fun run

Bang Tao Beach will host Run for the Reef 2026 on 29 August, a capped 3K community fun run for 200 participants.

The start is set for 6:00 AM at Arinara Beach Resort Phuket. The idea is simple: run by the sea, finish early, and pick up beach waste along the way in exchange for a commemorative event token.

What runners get

The registration package includes a healthy breakfast, a branded headband, a Starbucks coffee discount, a PalmTree breakfast buffet discount, partner giveaways, and a lucky draw with prizes. The listed price is THB 490, with an early-bird rate of THB 390 from 15 July to 7 August.

Where it happens

The route follows Bang Tao Beach beside one of the area’s best-known beachfront resorts. It is not a race for elite times; it is a light, local-friendly morning event for residents and visitors who want a short run with a simple community message.

Why it works

Everything is bundled into one easy morning plan: a run, breakfast, a small prize element, and a practical reminder to keep the beach tidy. For Bang Tao, it is another sign that the area’s calendar is as much about community life as it is about holiday time.
