Old Phuket Town readies a week of light, art and Peranakan stories
Starting August 23, Phuket Old Town turns into an evening route of light and music.
From 23 to 29 August, Chartered Bank Intersection in Phuket Old Town will host Feel all the Feelings @ Phuket: Illuminating Peranakan. Each night, a projection mapping show will turn a historic façade into a screen for light, sound and short stories about Phuket’s Baba-Peranakan heritage.
What to expect
Shows run daily in ten slots: 7:00, 7:20, 7:40, 8:00, 8:20, 8:40, 9:00, 9:20, 9:40 and 10:00 pm. It is built as a casual evening stop, not a one-off concert.
Opening night
On 23 August, the programme starts at 6:30 pm. The opening line-up includes Khon, Thailand’s classical masked dance, plus live jazz. In the old town, it is a rare format where heritage is presented as a living city scene.
Why locals and visitors may care
The event is easy to fit into a dinner plan or a slow walk through the historic quarter. If you want the light show, arrive early and plan around the post-sunset peak.
