Phuket starts preparing roads, services and shrines for Vegetarian Festival
Phuket has already shifted into Vegetarian Festival prep mode: with almost a month to go, city services, police and shrine groups are coordinating how the island will handle nine busy October days.

The festival is scheduled for Oct. 10–18, 2026. It is a nine-day island-wide event with rituals and processions at Chinese shrines and community locations across Phuket, not a single-site celebration.
