Phuket’s west coast faces rough seas and thunderstorms through 13 September
Phuket’s west coast is set for another week of southwest winds, about 2-meter waves, and thunderstorm rain.

The official seven-day forecast for the southern west coast runs from 7 to 13 September 2026. For the area from Phuket northward, it shows southwesterly winds of 20–35 km/h and wave heights of about 2 meters, rising above 2 meters during thunderstorms. From 8–9 September, isolated to scattered thundershowers are expected, then from 10–13 September the outlook turns to scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy and very heavy rain.
