Free 99-bed stay facility opens in Ratsada for Vachira patients and families
A new free 99-bed accommodation facility is now open in Ratsada for patients treated at Vachira Phuket Hospital and their relatives.
What opened
Baan Phueng Wat Phuket has been completed and officially opened on 15 August 2026 in Ratsada. It is designed for people who need to stay in Phuket during treatment but cannot easily afford a room near the hospital.
Who it serves
The facility is for patients receiving care at Vachira Phuket Hospital and for their families. Each allocated room can host one patient and up to two family members.
How to stay
Check-in is daily from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and check-out is from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Guests need a Thai ID card and a referral letter from the hospital. The permitted stay follows the referral.
- Extension: 500 baht per night
- Wristband deposit: 100 baht per person
- Lost or damaged wristband: 200 baht
Practical rules
Guests must bring their own sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels and clothing. Food, snacks and medication are not allowed inside the building. CCTV is installed inside and around the accommodation area.
For many Phuket families, this is a simple but meaningful option: a place to stay close to care without the cost pressure of daily accommodation.
